TOMMY LEE's Reality Show Draws 4.4 Million For Final Episode
September 15, 2005Jeff Korbelik of the Lincoln Journal Star is reporting that "Tommy Lee Goes to College" saw its audience increase from last week thanks to more people turning on their TVs. The MÖTLEY CRÜE drummer drew 4.4 million viewers to the finale of his NBC reality show Tuesday night — up from last week’s 4 million.
However, overall viewership was up, mainly because Fox and The WB kicked off their fall seasons a week early.
Roughly, 5.3 percent or 2 million more people had their televisions on between 8 and 9 p.m. on the five major broadcast networks compared to the same time last week.
For the night (7 to 10 p.m.),viewership increased 13.4 percent or 12.3 million from last week.
"Tommy's" finale, airing a half hour later at 8:30, featured Lee taking final exams and celebrating afterward with a party at the Rococo Theatre.
The episode finished last in its timeslot. The season premiere of Fox's "House" won the timeslot and the night with 15.9 million viewers.
It was followed by "Big Brother" (CBS, 7.9 million),the series premiere of "Supernatural" (The WB, 5.7 million) and the "World Music Awards" (ABC, 5.2 million).
"Tommy" also was last in its timeslot among viewers ages 18 to 49, the demographic advertisers tend to target. The finale drew 2.6 million compared to "House's" 7.6 million.
